Beginning of ReadMe : II/175 Catalogue of 166 Ultraviolet Extinction Curves (Krelowski+ 1992) ================================================================================ Catalogue of 166 Ultraviolet Extinction Curves Krelowski J., Papaj J., Wegner W. <CDS Inf. Bull. No. 41, p. 23 (1992)> Papaj J., Krelowski J. and Wegner W. <Mon. Not. R. Astron. The sample contains stars earlier than B6 (mainly dwarfs and giants), which were available in the set of spectra obtained with the Sky Survey telescope (S2/68) in the ESRO TD-1 satellite (Jamar et al. 1977, Cat. III/39; Macau-Hercot et al. 1978, Cat. II/86). The extinction curves cover the wavelength range 1360-2540AA (7.35-3.94um^-1^) and yielding 60 data points. They are normalized to the broad band ( 300AA) photometric measurements centered at 2740AA (3.65um^-1^). A special system of standards ("artificial standards - Papaj, Wegner and Krelowski (1990MNRAS.246..408P)) have been used. It made possible to calculate extinction curves for reddening as small as E(B-V)   0.05. The procedure has been fully described by Papaj, Wegner and Krelowski (1991MNRAS.252..403P). The catalogue may be useful both to obtain intrinsic stellar atmosphere parameters (when dereddened spectra are needed) and to determine properties of dust in single interstellar clouds.
