A shell program has been prepared to test that the values have been correctly assigned. To use it, move to the directory of NGC 2287 (from bda: cd ngc/2287) and enter testenv. Each option displays the current value of the parameter, the expected chain and that obtained.
Once you have set the path for BDA, most shell scripts and programs use this path as $BDAor are recovered by the function getenv().
