There are more directories depending on bda.
- bda/hipad contains the (x,y) positions measured on a digitizing
tablet and awaiting their installation in the database;
- bda/newdata new data generally received by E-mail and awaiting
their inclusion in the database;
- bda/resultat results from data comparisons, and other files;
- bda/format templates for datafile format;
- bda/entete column headers for each datatype;
- bda/sequence reference sequences (ZAMS) for photometric diagrams,
and evolutionary models for computing isochrones;
- bda/isochrone isochrones computed on the fly. This directory
should be cleaned regularly;
- bda/modeles data on stellar inertia to compute binary system
evolution
- bda/regles rules for the expert systems;
- bda/tmp temporary files used by commands and programs;
- bda/gestion miscellanous files, related to the distribution
of BDA and especially the file named journal which collects the
names of the files modified or added and the date of the change;
- bda/sauve backup copies of data or program files made before an
important change;
- bda/oldata cluster data, saved temporarily before doing a
major change, like a numbering system change;
- bda/menus French and English texts of the various menus;
- bda/poste a place to put files to be sent by E-mail;
- bda/tarfile the last tarfiles to update distributed copies of
the database;
- bda/labo a working directory.
