The database is maintained on a Sun Sparc worksation and its total size is about 35 MB for a total of about 6000 files. Due to the specific structure of the database, it is presently more convenient to have a copy of it on a workstation.The dissemination of various copies may raise the problem of the simultaneous existence of several revisions. However, this problem is solved by the transfer of the modified or new data files grouped in a tarfile over the Internet. Such a system is already used to maintain a copy of the database at the Meudon observatory in Paris on a DEC workstation, which offers additional possibilities for distribution to other machines. Access through the World Wide Web is being examined. Hypertext description is being written and some database consultation will be provided. There is also a project to access the database through the ADS facility.
