J/MNRAS/394/1857 H_2_/HI ratio in galaxies (Obreschkow+, 2009) ================================================================================ Understanding the H_2_/HI ratio in galaxies. Obreschkow D., Rawlings S. =2009MNRAS.394.1857O ================================================================================ ADC_Keywords: Galaxies, radio ; H I data ; Radio lines Keywords: ISM: atoms - ISM: clouds - ISM: molecules - radio lines: galaxies Abstract: We revisit the mass ratio {eta}_galaxy_ between molecular hydrogen (H2) and atomic hydrogen (HI) in different galaxies from a phenomenological and theoretical viewpoint. Description: The sample of galaxies used in this section is presented in tableA1 and consists of 245 distinct objects with simultaneous measurements of integrated HI line fluxes and CO(1-0) line fluxes. The latter were drawn from nine catalogues in the literature, and, where not given explicitly, recomputed from indicated H_2_ masses by factoring out the different X-factors used by the authors.
