In a study (based on near-infrared and ISO data) of AGB stars in the SMC we discovered an unusual object with a very high mass loss rate (approx 10^(-4) Msun/year) but only a modest to low luminosity (about 5300 Lsun). To more accurately determine its luminosity and investigate the mass loss history of this star we propose 60 and 100 micron observations with PHT.
