Beginning of ReadMe : J/A+A/468/49 LMXBs in the bulge of M31 (Voss+, 2007) ================================================================================ A study of the population of LMXBs in the bulge of M31. Voss R., Gilfanov M. <Astron. Astrophys., 468, 49-59 (2007)> =2007A&A...468...49V ================================================================================ ADC_Keywords: Galaxies, nearby ; Binaries, X-ray Keywords: galaxies: individual: M 31 - X-rays: binaries - X-rays: galaxies Abstract: We explore the population of X-ray point sources in the bulge of M31 to contrast properties of various subpopulations, such as persistent and transient sources and primordial LMXBs and dynamically formed ones. Based on the data from 26 archival Chandra observations we study the source content and properties of various subpopulations of X-ray sources to a maximum distance of 12' from the centre of M 31. Description: The analysis in this paper is based on 26 Chandra ACIS observations, with aimpoints within 10' from M31 centre (00:42:44.31+41:16:09.4).
