J., 613, 914-932 (2004)> =2004ApJ...613..914H ================================================================================ ADC_Keywords: Galaxies, photometry ; Galaxies, radio ; Equivalent widths Keywords: galaxies: ISM - galaxies: photometry - galaxies: stellar content Abstract: A sample of 69 galaxies with radial velocities of less than 2500km/s was selected from the HI Parkes All-Sky Survey (HIPASS, Cat. VIII/73) and imaged in broadband B and R and narrowband Halpha, to deduce details about star formation in nearby disk galaxies while avoiding surface brightness selection effects. Description: Data were acquired during two separate observing runs. Images were obtained at Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory (CTIO) with the 0.9m telescope and the Tek 2Kx2K CCD camera during both runs, one on 2000 March 3-9 and the other on 2000 October 23-28 and November 2, 5, and 6.
