Astrophys. 364, 665 (2000)> =2000A&A...364..665S ================================================================================ ADC_Keywords: Stars, double and multiple ; Radial velocities ; Stars, nearby Keywords: stars: binaries: general - stars: binaries: spectroscopic - stars: binaries: visual - stars: low-mass, brown dwarfs - techniques: radial velocities - stars: late-type Abstract: We have obtained adaptive optics images and accurate radial velocities for 7 very low mass objects, In the course of a long term effort to determine accurate masses for very low mass stars (M<0.6 Msun). We use the new data, together with measurements from the literature for some stars, to determine new or improved orbits for these 7 systems. They provide masses for 16 very low mass stars with accuracies that range between 0.2% and 5%, and in some cases a very accurate distance as well. This information is used in a companion paper to discuss the Mass-Luminosity relation for the V, J, H and K photometric bands. Description: Files table 4 to 10 contains radial velocity measurements of the stellar multiple system Gl 234A, YY Gem ab, GJ 2069Aab, Gl 644ABC, Gl 747AB, Gl 831AB and Gl 866ABC. Files table 11 to 15 contains angular separation measurements of the multiple stellars system Gl 234AB, Gl 644A-BC, Gl 747AB, Gl 831AB and Gl 866AC-B.
