Beginning of ReadMe : II/232 UBV photometry of selected regions in the MCs (Braun 2001) ================================================================================ Large-scale star formation in the Magellanic Clouds derived from analysis of stellar populations. Braun J.M. <Ph.D. Dissertation, Bonn Univ., Shaker Verlag, Aachen, ISBN 3-8265-8325-6, ISSN 0947-7756 (2001)> ================================================================================ ADC_Keywords: Magellanic Clouds ; Stars, early-type ; Photometry, UBV ; Photometry, CCD Keywords: stars: early-type - Hertzsprung-Russell (HR) diagram - Magellanic Clouds Description: This catalogue groups broad-band CCD photometry made in 8 regions of the Magellanic Clouds which were used for the study of stellar populations in the Magellanic Clouds. The photometry yielded 293693 BV entries with 136155 having additional U information, published or to be published in 4 different papers. Introduction: During my doctoral phase I studied stellar populations in the Magellanic Clouds by broad-band (i.e. UBV) CCD photometry in collaboration with several astronomers. The first study inside LMC4 has already been published (see J/A+A/328/167), while the next four projects have not been published yet and are enclosed here: 1) 'lmc4c': a BV study of three overlapping (12.9')^2^ fields in the very centre of LMC4 (the huge supergiant shell), including the clusters HS343 (= KMHK1030) and KMHK1000. The observations were made at the ESO 1.54m Danish telescope in January 1999. 2) 'lmce': a UBV photometry in 10 (11.7')^2^ fields of five selected regions: 'n70': N70 region (a giant shell) with an overlapping western field, 'lmc2s': a strip inside SGS LMC2 out of 4 overlapping fields including N164, NGC2100, and NGC2102, 'lmc2o': an outer field east of LMC2, 'n171': a field of the N171 region, located in a giant molecular cloud complex 'n214': two overlapping fields of the southern N214 region. The observations were made at the ESO 1.54m Danish telescope in December 1996. 3) 'smc1': a UBV study of 4 overlapping (12.9')^2^ fields inside SGS SMC1 of the wing region of the SMC, incl. NGC602 (N90) and N89. The observations were made at the ESO 1.54m Danish telescope in January 1998 (Central and South parts), and in November 1999 (North and West parts) 4) 'lmc7': a UBV photometry in 2 (12.9')^2^ fields [out of 12 fields covering entirely LCM7], including the cluster SL106. The observations were made at the ESO 1.54m Danish telescope in January 1998. Further details can be found in the ReadMe_'pro' files of the appropriate project.
