Beginning of ReadMe : V/152 The DEBCat detached eclipsing binary catalogue (Southworth, 2015) ================================================================================ DEBCat: A Catalog of Detached Eclipsing Binary Stars. Southworth, J. <ASP Conference Series, Vol. 496, 164-165 (2015)> =2015ASPC..496..164S =2017yCat.5152....0S ================================================================================ ADC_Keywords: Binaries, eclipsing ; Stars, masses ; Stars, diameters ; Effective temperatures ; Spectral types ; Photometry, UBV Keywords: Stars: binaries: general ; stars: diameters ; stars: evolution ; stars: luminosities ; stars: mass ; stars: structure Abstract: Detached eclipsing binary star systems are our primary source of measured physical properties of normal stars. I introduce DEBCat: a catalog of detached eclipsing binaries with mass and radius measurements to the 2% precision necessary to put useful constraints on theoretical models of stellar evolution. The catalog was begun in 2006, as an update of the compilation by Andersen (1991A&ARv...3...91A). It now contains over 195 systems (2017/10/10), and new results are added on appearance in the refereed literature. Acknowledging DEBCat in publications: DEBCat is described in a poster presented at the Kopal conference in Litomysl, Czech Republic, September 2014. This was written up as a conference proceedings which can be found on the NASA ADS service (2015ASPC..496..164S) and in preprint form on the arXiv server (arXiv.1411.1219). Please cite this paper if you use DEBCat in your work.
