Abstract:
VBLUW photometric observations of 13 eclipsing binary stars carried
out by C.J. van Houten with the Walraven 5-color photometer between
1965 and 1978 are presented together with a first analysis of the
orbital periods.
Description:
The 13 objects were observed by the first author in 1965, 1968, 1974,
1977, and 1978 using the 90-cm Dutch telescope equipped with the
simultaneous VBLUW photometer of Walraven, at the Leiden Southern
Station, Broederstroom, South Africa.

Note (1): MSC refers to the Michigan Catalogue of Two-Dimensional Spectral
Types of HD Stars (Cat. III/31, III/51, III/80, III/133; III/214)
Note (2): The periods are taken from the General Catalogue of Variable
Stars, Moscow (Cat. B/gcvs)
Note (3): Individual notes as follows:
1 = HD 161783: double lined spectral line
2 = The first author used comparison star HD 101794 from 1974 April
19 until June 12; during the night he changed to HD 101838 and
used this star till July 7. For the last set he corrected the
variable minus comparison star data to the first comparison star
3 = Comparison star HD 116827 was suspected to be variable. A.L.
Roobeek observed the objects with two new comparison stars
HD 116508 and HD 116826 in May 1985 and Feb-March 1986 with the
light collector at ESO, La Silla, Chile, the new place of the
instrument.
4 = HD 147683: suspected double (not in Lick Publ. 21). H lines fuzzy
+ some other lines look slightly double on plate 4TR; on
spectral plate 3uw appears like around B4.
