Abstract:
We present catalogs of globular cluster (GC) candidates for 43
galaxies from the ACS Fornax Cluster survey, a program designed to
carry out imaging of early-type members of the Fornax cluster using
the Advanded Camera for Surveys (ACS) on board the Hubble Space
Telescope. The procedure to select bona fide GC candidates from the
full list of detections is based on model-based clustering methods,
similar to those adopted for a survey of 100 galaxies in the Virgo
cluster, the ACS Virgo Cluster Survey. For each detected source, we
measure its position, magnitudes in the F475W (∼Sloan g) and F850LP
(∼Sloan z) bandpasses, half-light radii obtained by fitting
point-spread function-convolved King models to the observed light
distribution, and an estimate of the probability ρGC that each
cataloged source is a GC. These measurements are presented for 9136
sources, of which 6275 have ρGC≥0.5, and are thus likely GCs.
Description:
Observations for each of the 43 program galaxies were carried out as
part of HST GO program 10217 between 2004 September and 2005 March.
Each galaxy was imaged within a single orbit, using the ACS Wide Field
Channel (WFC) mode. See the description in Paper I (Jordan et al.
2007, J/ApJS/169/213).

of all ACS Fornax Cluster survey sources that satisfy the selection criteria
presented in Section 2.6 in Jordan et al. (2004, J/ApJS/154/509), modified as
described in Section 5.1 of Jordan et al. (2007, J/ApJS/169/213), and that
have rh>0.0096".

To select a sample of bona-fide globular clusters the sources should
be restricted to those having pGC≥0.5.

Ag=3.634*E(B-V) and Az=1.485*E(B-V) in the g- and z-bands
respectively Jordan et al. (2004, J/ApJS/154/509).

Note (G1): Two galaxies in the catalog do not have FCC (Fornax Cluster Catalog;
Ferguson, 1989, VII/180) identifiers, they are listed as NGC 1340
and IC 2006.

253 out the 397 sources cataloged for NGC 1340 had erroneous coordinates,
with all other entries being correct.
