ADC_Keywords: Solar system ; Minor planets Keywords: methods: observational - occultations - Kuiper belt objects, individual: Varda Abstract: We present here results of the first-ever recorded stellar occultation by the large trans-Neptunian object (174567) Varda that was observed on September 10th, 2018. Varda belongs to the high-inclination dynamically excited population, and has a satellite, Ilmare, which is half the size of Varda. Description: In table A1, we give astrometric observations of the trans-Neptunian (174567) Varda that were performed by our group using several telescopes between April 2013 and July 2019. The columns give observation date (year, month, day), the measured RA and DEC (in degrees), the IAU code of the observation site, and the reference catalogue used for the reduction. In fig3b.dat, we give the data associated with figure 3b. We give here the occultation light-curves from five stations (TWF, MHV, YMA, CAR and FLO). The first column gives station code, the second column the time in seconds after midnight (UTC) on the day of the occultation. The third column gives the normalised between 0 (Varda flux) and 1 (fluxes of the unocculted star and of Varda). objects: ------------------------------------------------------------------- Planet Name H Diam i e a mag km deg AU ------------------------------------------------------------------- 174567 Varda 3.40 --- 21.513359 0.14361777 46.09048940 ------------------------------------------------------------------- File Summary: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FileName Lrecl Records Explanations -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ReadMe 80 .
