J/PASP/107/846 LSE stars, extension of Case-Hamburg surveys. (Drilling+ 1995)

An extension of the Case-Hamburg OB-star surveys. Drilling J.S., Bergeron L.E. <Publ. Astron. Soc. Pac. 107, 846 (1995)> =1995PASP..107..846D
ADC_Keywords: Milky Way ; Stars, luminous ; Stars, blue ; Spectral types Abstract: The Case-Hamburg OB-star surveys (Luminous Stars in the Milky Way, Catalogs III/76 and III/43) have been extended to galactic latitude b=±30 for l=±60 using the Curtis Schmidt telescope and 4° objective prism at the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory. A catalog of 234 OB stars and other objects with peculiar spectra is presented along. The positions were revisited by B. Skiff in May 2002, using the finding charts; additional notes and cross-identifications have been added in the course of this examination (see the "notes.dat" file). File Summary:

Note on table1.dat: the star LSE 46 is duplicated here, because its exact location is ambiguous (see the notes about this star)

Note (1): the origin of the position is abbreviated as follows: B = Bordeaux meridian circle (2001A&A...376..325R, Cat. I/272) G = GSC-ACT (Cat. I/255) T = Tycho-2 (2000A&A...357..367H, Cat. I/259) U = UCAC1 (2000AJ....120.2131Z, Cat. I/268) Note (2): OB+, OB and OB- types indicate blue stars in increasing Balmer absorption line strength -- most of them are blue horizontal branch stars or O/B subdwarfs. 'MD' indicate metal deficient stars, 'e' indicates emission in Balmer lines (Ce = Carbon star with emission, Ge = G0 star with emission). WD are DA white dwarfs.
