ADC_Keywords: X-ray sources ; Millimetric/submm sources ; Galaxies, IR Keywords: galaxies: active - galaxies: Seyfert - infrared: galaxies - X-rays: galaxies Abstract: We present a multi-waveband analysis of a 126-galaxy sub-sample of the 12um galaxy sample (12MGS), for which we have carried out a detailed X-ray spectral analysis in a previous paper. We determine the activity class of the galaxies by way of optical-line ratio diagnostics and characterize the optical classes by their X-ray, 12um and [OIII] luminosities and X-ray spectral properties. Description: We have obtained narrow-line ratios from a compilation of unpublished data from Rodriguez et al. (in preparation) for 70 of the galaxies in our sample of 126 sources. For the rest, where they exist, we have compiled from the literature the [OIII]/Hβ, [OI]/Hα, [NII]/Hα and [SII]/Hα line ratios which are needed for this classification method. In five cases we have used SDSS DR7 emission-line data, where no literature line ratio data exist. File Summary:

Note on table1.dat: based on the scheme of Kewley et al. (2006MNRAS.372..961K). Also included are the observed fluxes of the [OIII] emission line, the Balmer decrement and the derived absorption-corrected [OIII] fluxes.
