J/A+AS/121/247 LMC galactic foreground stars UBV photometry (Grothues+ 1997)
UBV photometry of galactic foreground and LMC member stars. II. Galactic foreground stars (supplement) Grothues H.-G., Oestreicher M.O., Gochermann J., Tappert C., Zaum A., Brugger H.R., Schmidt-Kaler T. <Astron. Astrophys. Suppl. Ser. 121, 247 (1997)> =1997A&AS..121..247G (SIMBAD/NED BibCode)
ADC_Keywords: Magellanic Clouds ; Photometry, UBV Keywords: catalogues - Galaxy: stellar content - galaxies: Magellanic Clouds Abstract: In addition to the list of UBV photometries of 955 galactic foreground stars in the direction to the Large Magellanic Cloud published by Gochermann et al. (1993A&AS...99..591G), a supplement of 545 stars is presented, which have been measured with the same photometric accuracy. Moreover, less reliable photometries of 379 further foreground stars are listed in a separate table. The homogeneous data base of more than 1500 high accuracy photometries represented by these stars has been used to construct a reddening distribution map of the galactic foreground towards the LMC by Oestreicher et al. (1995A&AS..112..495O). File Summary:
