ADC_Keywords: Rotational velocities ; Associations, stellar ; Clusters, open ; Clusters, globular Keywords: stars: rotation ; stars: clusters Description: The catalog is a compilation of the observed projected rotational velocities, Vrot*sin(i), for 28179 stars from 166 open clusters, globular clusters and associations. The catalog.dat file contains 39351 individual Vrot*sin(i) data, together with the error and the method of determination. Because of the possible confusion with the use of different names for stars belonging to clusters we have included alternative names using SIMBAD nomenclature. Rotational velocities from CDS catalogue III/226 (Glebocki+ 2000) are included. Information about the number of stars in each cluster as well as other cluster names can be found in the "clusters.dat" file. The bibliographical references are provided in the "refs.dat" file. The file "mean.dat" contains mean V*sin(i) values for each star. The individual v*sin(i) measurements were reduced to a uniform standard (to remove the systematic errors) and a weighted average of V*sin(i) was calculated. The V*sin(i) values used as standards are presented in the "standards.dat" file. File Summary:

Note (1): A=prim., B=sec., C=cold, H=hot, For other designations see the referenced paper. Note (2): If V magnitude was not given in the Simbad Database, then the B filter magnitude was used. Note (3): The symbols <,≤,>,≥ denote that vsini is an upper or lower limit. Colon (:) indicates an uncertain value, double- colon (::) indicates very uncertain value. The apostrophe (') is used for estimation of error given for the whole analysed sample. Note (4): The symbols have the following meaning: FTLP = Fourier Transform of Line Profile, C-C = Cross-correlation technique, FWHM = Calibrated line width at half maximum, Conv = Convolution with calculated rotational broadening, LW = Comparison (eye) with standards, REF = Special procedure: see the referenced paper.
