J/other/Ap/44.335 M stars in Cepheus region (Kazarian+, 2001)
Classification of red stars with spectral absorption bands observed in the near-infrared range. Kazarian M.A., Petrosian G.V. <Astrophysics, 44, 335 (2001)> =2001Ap.....44..335K
ADC_Keywords: Stars, M-type ; Spectral types ; Magnitudes ; Infrared sources Description: The results of a spectral classification of 257 M stars observed in the Cepheus region are given. Their equatorial coordinates, photographic stellar magnitudes, and spectral subtypes were determined. These stars are giants and supergiants, in all probability. None of them appear in a catalog of variable stars. It is assumed that variability might be detected in many of them upon further study. Fifty-two of the stars have been identified with infrared sources. In addition to the originally published data, magnitudes, positions, cross-identifications and notes have been added in May 2002. History: * From electronic version of the journal * 17-May-2002: Some corrections in the IRAS numbers * 23-May-2002: A new version has been prepared by Brian Skiff (): the list was matched against the IRAS, MSX, and Dearborn red-star catalogues, and the coordinates were added, mostly from GSC-ACT (Cat. I/255) or USNO-A2.0 (Cat. I/252); two stars (#46 and #174) could not be recovered. Notes were added in the course of this work.
