J/MNRAS/385/905 OGLEII high pm stars towards Galactic Centre (Rattenbury+, 2008)
OGLE-II high proper motion stars towards the Galactic Centre. Rattenbury N.J., Mao S. <Mon. Not. R. Astron. Soc., 385, 905-917 (2008)> =2008MNRAS.385..905R
ADC_Keywords: Stars, nearby ; Proper motions ; Photometry, infrared ; Stars, distances Keywords: stars: distances - stars: statistics - solar neighbourhood Abstract: The photometry data base of the second phase of the OGLE microlensing experiment, OGLE-II, is a rich source of information about the kinematics and structure of the Galaxy. In this work, we use the OGLE-II proper motion catalogue to identify candidate stars which have high proper motions. 521 stars with proper motion µ>50mas/yr in the OGLE-II proper motion catalogue were cross-identified with stars in the MACHO high proper motion catalogue, and the DEep Near-Infrared Survey and Two-Micron All-Sky Survey infrared photometry catalogues. Photometric distances were computed for stars with colours consistent with G/K- and M-type stars. Six stars were newly identified as possible nearby (<50pc) M dwarfs. File Summary:

Note on table2.dat: Stars are characterized as G/K dwarfs based on DENIS I-J colour, and distance estimate, are determined using the theoretical luminosity model of Lejeune et al. (1997, Cat. J/A+AS/125/229). Note on table3.dat and table4.dat: Stars are characterized as M dwarfs based on DENIS I-J colour.

Note (2): The distance estimate, d, is determined using the theoretical luminosity model of Baraffe et al. (1998, Cat. J/A+A/337/403). Error values are derived from random photometric errors, statistical colour-luminosity scatter and systematic offset of the theoretical luminosity model
Global notes: Note (G1): Stars identified as OGLE BUL-SCNN NNNNNN in Simbad, (Udalski et al., 2002, Cat. J/AcA/52/217) Note (G2): Note as follows: * = For stars with positional difference both between the OGLE-II and DENIS positions and between the DENIS and 2MASS positions less than 1 arcsec + = For stars correctly cross-identified between the OGLE-II, DENIS and 2MASS catalogues
