J/ApJS/147/103 Radial velocities of overluminous F stars (Griffin+, 2003)

The nature of overluminous F stars observed in a radial-velocity survey. Griffin R.F., Suchkov A.A. <Astrophys. J. Suppl. Ser. 147, 103 (2003)> =2003ApJS..147..103G
ADC_Keywords: Stars, F-type ; Radial velocities ; Rotational velocities Keywords: binaries: general - stars: evolution - stars: fundamental parameters - stars: kinematics - stars: pre-main-sequence Abstract: We have conducted a radial-velocity survey of bright (V<9), overluminous, F stars within 80pc. Of the total of 118 stars selected, the radial velocities of 77 have been measured with the Cambridge CORAVEL in the present survey. Description: Radial-velocity observations for our survey have been made with a spectrometer at the coude focus of the Cambridge (UK) 36 inch reflecting telescope. File Summary:

Note (1): Flags have the following meaning: 1 = The star was on R.F. Griffin's observing program before the current survey began. 2 = R.F. Griffin had already published the orbit of the star. 3 = The star was observed as a part of this survey, but its orbit has already been published in a separate paper. 4 = An orbit had already been published by others. 5 = Not observed because previous observations by others indicate constant radial velocity. 6 = The star was already asserted in the literature to be a binary, but no orbit had been determined. Note (2): C (constant) indicates nondetection of radial-velocity variations Note (3): Except where uncertainty is indicated by a colon, the formal errors of rotational velocities are ≲1km/s Note (4): the brightness anomaly represents the difference in the absolute magnitudes computed from the trigonometric parallaxes and from the Stromgren photometry.
