J/ApJS/126/331 Spectrophotometry of nearby field galaxies (Jansen+ 2000)
Spectrophotometry of nearby field galaxies: the data. Jansen R.A., Fabricant D., Franx M., Caldwell N. <Astrophys. J. Suppl. Ser. 126, 331 (2000)> =2000ApJS..126..331J
ADC_Keywords: Surveys ; Galaxies, photometry ; Spectrophotometry Keywords: atlases - galaxies: fundamental parameters - galaxies: ISM - galaxies: stellar content - surveys Abstract: We have obtained integrated and nuclear spectra as well as U, B, R surface photometry for a representative sample of 196 nearby galaxies. These galaxies span the entire Hubble sequence in morphological type, as well as a wide range of luminosities (MB=-14 to -22). Here we present the spectrophotometry for these galaxies. The selection of the sample and the U, B, R surface photometry is described in a companion paper (J/ApJS/126/271). Description: The spectroscopic observations reported here were made with the FAST spectrograph at the F. L. Whipple Observatory's 1.5m Tillinghast telescope. File Summary:
