Lithium abundances from optical high-resolution spectroscopy of weak-line T Tauri stars. Xing L.F. <Astrophys. J., 723, 1542-1548 (2010)> =2010ApJ...723.1542X

Based on these observations and data of 108 WTTSs taken from the literature, we derive lithium abundances for 127 WTTSs. Investigation of a possible relation between lithium and rotation in WTTSs shows that: (1) rapidly rotating WTTSs have comparatively lower lithium abundances than their slower rotating counterparts; (2) in the spectral-type range G0-K0, most of the WTTSs share the same Li content irrespective of their Teff; and (3) active late-type binaries do not obey the correlation between lithium abundances and rotation periods, since the tidally locked rotation of the late-type binary system leads naturally to slower lithium destruction rates. Description: Spectroscopic observations were carried out on nine nights from 2007 December 18 to 20, 2008 January 15 to 17 and 2009 October 6 to 8 with the Coude Echelle Spectrograph and a 1024x1024 Tek CCD attached to the 2.16m telescope at the Xinglong station of the National Astronomical Observatories, Chinese Academy of Science (NAOC). The resolving power was on the order of 37000 and the spectral coverage is 580-880nm. File Summary:
