J/AJ/139/2289 Abundances of five red giants in M5 (Koch+, 2010)
A differential chemical abundance scale for the globular cluster M5. Koch A., McWilliam A. <Astron. J., 139, 2289-2299 (2010)> =2010AJ....139.2289K
ADC_Keywords: Clusters, globular ; Stars, giant ; Equivalent widths Keywords: globular clusters: individual (M5) - stars: abundances - stars: atmospheres - stars: individual (Arcturus) Abstract: We present LTE chemical abundances for five red giants and one AGB star in the Galactic globular cluster (GC) M5 based on high-resolution spectroscopy using the Magellan Inamori Kyocera Echelle spectrograph on the Magellan 6.5m Clay telescope. Our results are based on a line-by-line differential abundance analysis relative to the well-studied red giant Arcturus. Description: Observations were carried out during six nights in 2003 July using the Magellan Inamori Kyocera Echelle (MIKE) spectrograph at the 6.5m Magellan2/Clay Telescope. File Summary:
