J/AJ/135/2424 Line strengths of early-type galaxies (Ogando+, 2008)

Line strengths of early-type galaxies. Ogando R.L.C., Maia M.A.G., Pellegrini P.S., Da Costa L.N. <Astron. J., 135, 2424-2445 (2008)> =2008AJ....135.2424O
ADC_Keywords: Galaxies, spectra ; Radial velocities ; Spectroscopy Keywords: galaxies: elliptical and lenticular, cD - galaxies: formation - galaxies: stellar content Abstract: In this paper we present measurements of velocity dispersions and Lick indices for 509 galaxies in the local universe, based on high signal-to-noise, long-slit spectra obtained with the 1.52m ESO telescope at La Silla. Description: The line strengths presented in this paper are based on long-slit spectra collected using the Boller & Chivens spectrograph mounted on the 1.52m telescope at the La Silla site of the European Southern Observatory, during several runs between 1993 November and 2002 November.
