J/AJ/134/142 UBVRI photometry in NGC 3367 (Garcia-Barreto+, 2007)

UBVRI photometry of stellar structures throughout the disk of the barred galaxy NGC 3367. Garcia-Barreto J.A., Hernandez-Toledo H., Moreno-Diaz E., Bernal-Marin T., Villarreal-Castillo A.L. <Astron. J., 134, 142-157 (2007)> =2007AJ....134..142G
ADC_Keywords: Galaxies, nearby ; Photometry, UBVRI Keywords: galaxies: individual (NGC 3367) - galaxies: photometry - galaxies: starburst - galaxies: stellar content - galaxies: structure Abstract: We report new detailed surface U, B, V, R, and I photometry of 81 stellar structures in the disk of the barred galaxy NGC 3367. The images show many different structures, indicating that star formation is going on in most parts of the disk. NGC 3367 is known to have a very high concentration of molecular gas distribution in the central regions of the galaxy and bipolar synchrotron emission from the nucleus, with two lobes (at 6kpc) forming a triple structure similar to a radio galaxy. We have determined the U, B, V, R, and I magnitudes and U-B, B-V, U-V, and V-I colors for the central region (nucleus), a region which includes supernova 2003 AA, and 79 star associations throughout NGC 3367. Description: The observations were carried out using the 84cm optical telescope at the Observatorio Astronomico Nacional at San Pedro Martir, Baja California, Mexico on 2005 March 8 and 9. Note (1): The position of star 3 is RA=08:48:37.5, DE=+11:57:23.4 (B1950); as a comparison, the position and magnitude reported in the USNO-B star catalog (Monet et al., 2003, Cat. I/284), for a star probably associated with star 3, is RA=08:48:37.95, DEB=+11:57:57.9 (B1950) (magB1=13.98, magB2=13.54).
