J/AJ/130/1719 JHKs photometry in G305.3+0.2 cluster region (Leistra+, 2005)

Two 2MASS-selected young stellar clusters: photometry, spectroscopy, and the initial mass function. Leistra A., Cotera A.S., Liebert J., Burton M. <Astron. J., 130, 1719-1732 (2005)> =2005AJ....130.1719L
ADC_Keywords: Clusters, open ; Photometry, infrared Keywords: open clusters and associations: general - stars: formation - stars: luminosity function, mass function Abstract: We present near-IR (NIR) J, H, and Ks images and K-band spectroscopy of two newly discovered stellar clusters at different stages of evolution. Our spectra suggest the presence of massive young stellar objects in the heavily embedded cluster in the star-forming region near radio source G353.4-0.4 and an O5-O6V star in the cluster near radio source G305+00.2. Description: We observed candidate young stellar clusters with the facility instrument IRIS2 on the 3.9m Anglo-Australian Telescope (AAT) on 2003 July 12-15. File Summary:

Note (1): Magnitudes <11.5 are taken from the 2MASS Point Source Catalog (Cat. II/246), since the IRIS2 images are saturated. Spectroscopically classified sources A1 (O5V-O6V), A2 (B0V-B1V), and A3 (B2V-B3V) are listed first followed by the remaining sources. Field stars that were removed before deriving the luminosity and mass functions are included.
Nomenclature Notes: Sources are [LCL2005b] in Simbad. History: From electronic version of the journal
