J/AJ/129/2294 Radial velocities of weak-lines T Tauri stars (Massarotti+, 2005)

A search for substellar companions around 15 weak-lined T Tauri stars with the Planetary Camera 2 of the Hubble Space Telescope. Massarotti A., Latham D.W., Torres G., Brown R.A., Oppenheimer B.D. <Astron. J., 129, 2294-2307 (2005)> =2005AJ....129.2294M
ADC_Keywords: Binaries, spectroscopic ; Stars, dwarfs ; Stars, pre-main sequence ; Radial velocities Keywords: binaries: spectroscopic - planetary systems - stars: imaging - stars: low-mass, brown dwarfs - stars: pre-main-sequence Abstract: To search for thermal emission from substellar companions, we have obtained Z-band images of 15 weak-lined T Tauri stars in the Taurus-Auriga and Ophiuchus star-forming regions using the Planetary Camera 2 on the Hubble Space Telescope. To complement the imaging program, extensive spectroscopic observations were obtained with the Center for Astrophysics Digital Speedometers. Description: Three nearly identical echelle spectrographs have been used on the MMT and 1.5m Tillinghast Reflector at the F. L. Whipple Observatory atop Mount Hopkins, Arizona, and on the 1.5m Wyeth Reflector located at the Oak Ridge Observatory in the town of Harvard, Massachusetts. For our HST observations with the PC2 we chose the near-infrared intermediate-band filter W1042 (Z band). File Summary:
