ADC_Keywords: Clusters, open ; Stars, pre-main sequence ; Photometry, UBVRI Keywords: open clusters and associations: individual (NGC 2264) - stars: late-type - stars: pre-main-sequence - stars: rotation Abstract: We summarize the results of an observing campaign to identify periodic pre-main-sequence (PMS) variables in the NGC 2264 OB association. We find 201 periodic candidates. Description: We present here the 201 periodic variables extracted from time series (monitoring) data obtained for 4974 stars in a region roughly centered on the B3 V star HD 47777 (ICRS 2000.0 coordinates RA=06 40 42.29, DE=+09 38 53,55). We obtained a series of I-band CCD images with the Prime Focus Corrector (PFC) at the McDonald Observatory 0.76 m telescope. The PFC is equipped with a standard Bessell UBVRI filter set and a Loral-Fairchild 2048x2048 CCD at prime focus. We observed the field an average of five times each night over a total of 23 separate nights (1996 Oct 24-30, 1996 Nov 24-Dec 02 and 1997 Jan 22-Feb 03). File Summary:

Note (2): Period quality takes the following values: 1 = Highest-quality sample, obtained with FAP levels set by a correlation timescale of 1 day (as in Rebull et al., 2001, Cat. J/AJ/121/1676) 2 = Likely periods, obtained via a correlation timescale of 0.5 days or added manually based on the quality of the light curve Note (3): e = These stars fall in the regions defined in Table 2. Stars 164, 2537, and 3051 have a high enough normalized power to be considered periodic even with the higher 1% FAP limit set with the 1 day correlation timescale; see text.
