We observed a transit in the R-band filter and an occultation in a narrow filter centered on 2.09µm. Our analysis of this new photometry and published radial velocities, in combination with stellar-evolutionary modeling, leads to a planetary mass and radius of 1.07+0.13-0.18M{Jup} and 1.45+0.07-0.13R_{Jup}, confirming the very low density previously deduced from CoRoT photometry. The large occultation depth that we measure at 2.09µm (0.2780.043-0.066% ) is consistent with thermal emission and is better reproduced by an atmospheric model with no redistribution of the absorbed stellar flux to the night side of the planet. ReadMe 80 . This file fors-r.dat 35 103 *103 measurements obtained with VLT/FORS2 R_SPECIAL filter (λeff=655nm, FWHM=165nm) on 2008 February 28 hawki-nb.dat 35 301 *301 measurements obtained with VLT/HAWKI narrow band filter NB2090 (λc=2.095um, width=0.020um) on 2009 January 06
Note on fors-r.dat: 114 images were obtained during the run, but 11 of them were saturated (or close to the saturation) and rejected in our analysis. Note on hawki-nb.dat: 318 images were obtained, but 17 measurements were considered as outliers during the reduction and discarded. An error of 0.3% was added quadratically to the theoretical errors to account for the "jitter" noise (see paper).
