This survey constitutes the complementary optical data to the c2d Spitzer Legacy survey in Cha II. Description: Table 7 reports the optical photometry of 73 objects in the Chamaeleon II (Cha II) dark cloud. These data are part of an optical multi-band survey for low-mass pre-main sequence stars and young brown dwarfs in Cha II, performed using the wide-field imager (WFI) at the ESO 2.2m telescope. As clarified in the last column, the table contains the confirmed members of Cha II, the candidates selected by previous surveys, and the new candidates selected in this work, as well as other sources identified as possible candidates in previous studies but that were rejected by our selection criteria.
