The photometric and polarimetric observations suggest the linear poarization variation has substantially a stochastic character. Description: Photometric and polarimetric observations of DF Tau were carried out between 1991 and 1998 using the five-band photopolarimeter mounted at the 1.25m telescope of the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory (CrAO). This instrument permits simultaneous observations of polarization and brightness in the U, B, V, R, and I bands. The effective wavelengths of the instrumental system are close to the standard wavelengths of the Johnson photometric system.
