HI shells in the outer Milky Way. Ehlerova S., Palous J. <Astron. Astrophys., 437, 101-112 (2005)> =2005A&A...437..101E
ADC_Keywords: Interstellar medium ; H I data ; Milky Way ; Radial velocities Keywords: ISM: bubbles - ISM: structure - Galaxy: structure Abstract: We present results of a method for an automatic search for HI shells in 3D data cubes and apply it to the Leiden-Dwingeloo HI survey of the northern Milky Way. In the 2nd Galactic quadrant, where identifications of structures are not substantially influenced by overlapping, we find nearly 300 structures. Description: The catalogue of HI shells in the Milky Way identified in the Leiden-Dwingeloo HI survey by an automatic code described in the paper. File Summary:

A quality index of 1 denotes clearly visible and pronounced shells, while an index 4 refers to low-contrast and not well-pronounced shells. Indices 2 and 3 are intermediate steps.
