All results have been derived from NLTE statistical equilibrium calculations. The influence of collisional interactions with electrons and hydrogen atoms is evaluated by comparison of the solar spectrum with very precise fits to the Na I line cores. Description: The spectra of our samples were obtained through the years 1995 to 2000 by Klaus Fuhrmann with the fiber-coupled Cassegrain echelle spectrograph FOCES mounted at the 2.2m telescope of the Calar Alto Observatory.
