ADC_Keywords: Clusters, globular ; Photometry ; Radial velocities Keywords: galaxies: star clusters - galaxies: general Description: The catalog contains Lick line-index and photometric measurements of extragalactic globular clusters in seven early-type galaxies (NGC 1380, 2434, 3115, 3379, 3585, 5846, and 7192) with different morphological types (E/S0) located in field and group/cluster environments. High-quality spectra were taken with the FORS2 instrument at ESO's Very Large Telescope. ∼50% of our data allows an age resolution Δt/t∼0.3 and a metallicity resolution ∼0.25-0.4dex, depending on the absolute metallicity. Globular cluster candidates are selected from deep B, V, R, I, K FORS2/ISAAC photometry with 80-100% success rate inside one effective radius. Using combined optical/near-infrared colour-colour diagrams we present a method to efficiently reduce fore-/background contamination down to ≲10%. File Summary:

Note (1): Note on cluster photometry: NGC 1380 & NGC 2434: B-band photometry was performed on HST/WFPC2 data. V and I magnitudes were extracted from VLT/FORS2 data NGC 3115: Optical photometry was performed on VLT/FORS2 data. Near-infrared K-band magnitudes were measured on VLT/ISAAC data and taken from Puzia et al. (2002A&A...391..453P). NGC 3379: All photometric data were obtained with VLT/FORS2 data. NGC 3585: B and I-band photometry was obtained with VLT/FORS2 data. The V-band measurements were performed on HST/WFPC2 data NGC 5846 & NGC 7192: Optical photometry was performed on VLT/FORS2 data. Near-infrared K-band magnitudes were measured on VLT/ISAAC data and taken from Hempel et al. (2003A&A...405..487H) Note (2): Individual note on globular cluster photometry: 2434m2GC29: all passbands from HST/WFPC2 photometry 2434m2GC37: I-band data uncertain due to nearby blooming spike.
