J/A+A/362/799 The BeppoSAX 2-10 keV Survey (Giommi+, 2000)

The BeppoSAX 2-10keV survey. Giommi P., Perri M., Fiore F. <Astron. Astrophys. 362, 799 (2000)> =2000A&A...362..799G
ADC_Keywords: X-ray sources ; Galaxy catalogs ; Surveys Mission_Name: BeppoSAX Keywords: surveys - cosmology: observations - X-rays: galaxies - X-rays: general Abstract: We present the results of a 2-10keV BeppoSAX survey based on 140 high galactic latitude MECS fields, 12 of which are deep exposures of ``blank'' parts of the sky. The limiting sensitivity is 5x10-14erg/cm2/s where about 25% of the Cosmic X-ray Background (CXB) is resolved into discrete sources. The logN-logS function, built with a statistically complete sample of 177 sources, is steep and in good agreement with the counts derived from ASCA surveys. Description: File table contains the name of the sources, their coordinates (J2000.0) and the measured flux detected by the BeppoSAX MECS instrument in the 2-10 keV energy band. Additional information (other designation, class and redshift) if available in literature is also provided. File Summary:

Note (1): A question mark indicates that the distance between the BeppoSAX and the catalogue position is between 1.2 and 2 arcmins and therefore the association is likely but not certain. Note (2): BeppoSAX positions (accuracy about 30arcsec)
